With Season 1 hot off the press, everyone is trying to figure out how to unlock the M13B Assault Rifle in MW2 and Warzone 2. The M13B is a near-identical copy of one of Call of Duty's most iconic guns, so naturally, the community is seeking it out.

If you want to join in on the hunt for this legendary AR, stay right here to learn how to unlock the M13B Assault Rifle.

Unlike the Victus XMR Sniper Rifle and the BAS-P SMG, the M13B is not in the MW2 Season 1 Battle Pass, and players who want to use it must first partake in the brand-new DMZ Mode.

The Weapon Unlock Challenge for the M13B tasks players with defeating The Chemist in the Radiation Zone of DMZ and extracting his dropped weapon.

This is one of the most intimidating Weapon Unlock Challenges ever released in a Call of Duty title. DMZ Mode is a dangerous place and one where death is permanent. If you don't make it out, everything you take with you is lost.

To add salt to the wound, The Chemist is a High-Value Target with an army of soldiers dedicated to protecting his life at all costs. Furthermore, they're all stationed in the Radiation Zone, an area where the air itself burns those without protection. And to top it all off, the DMZ is filled with other players who are foaming at the mouth to claim The Chemist's weapon, and your loot, for themselves.

While you can grab a couple of friends and take The Chemist head-on with high-tier gear, there is an easier way to defeat The Chemist without as much hassle.

The first step is to secure a vehicle. As soon as you enter the Exclusion Zone, scout the area for an automobile. Now, make a beeline to the Radiation Zone, keeping note of any Gas Stations should you need to refill the tank.

The goal is to slaughter The Chemist and his minions with your vehicle. While these AI foes are a real pain in firefights, they're pretty easy to run over. The Chemist dons an all-yellow hazmat suit — you can't miss him.

After squashing The Chemist, exit the vehicle and grab his weapon. Now, quickly make your way to an Extraction Zone to escape. Upon returning to the lobby, you'll find that the M13B Assault Rifle is now usable in MW2 Multiplayer and Warzone 2.

Struggling with the M13B Assault Rifle Weapon Unlock Challenge? There is a cheesy way to get The Chemist's weapon without actually defeating him.

If you have a friend that already escaped with The Chemist's weapon, ask them to join you for a trip to the DMZ. When your boots hit the ground, have your friend drop you The Chemist's weapon. Now, hit up an Extraction Zone immediately and reap the rewards.

Lastly, if you just can't stand DMZ Mode and can't seem to accomplish this Weapon Unlock Challenge, there will, at some point in the future, be a Store Bundle with the M13B Assault Rifle available for COD Points.

Remember the ACR from the original Modern Warfare 2? Or maybe the M13 from Modern Warfare 219? Well, the M13B Assault Rifle shares a striking resemblance to these guns, both performance-wise and aesthetically.

The M13B lacks in Damage, but more than makes up for it with its best-in-class Fire Rate. Furthermore, while it may not be reflected in the stats, the M13B Assault Rifle has virtually zero recoil. You can easily pick enemies apart from a distance with this precision AR.

The M13B Assault Rifle is a member of the Bruen Ops Platform.
