MW2: All Weapon Customisation Options
There are a dozen different ways in which you can customise your weapons in Modern Warfare 2. Some methods are as old as time, while others are new. A few customisation options are also notably missing from the new game, like reticule customisation. Regardless, here are all of the ways you can customise weapons in Modern Warfare 2 at launch:
Attachments
The most obvious way to customise your weapon in Modern Warfare 2 is with attachments. These all affect the way that your chosen weapon handles and looks, and players are able to build them out to suit a certain playstyle. Here are all the different types of attachments in the game:
- Barrel
- Laser
- Optic
- Stock
- Rear Grip
- Receiver
- Magazine
- Ammunition
- Underbarrel
- Muzzle
Camo
Of course, players can also slap one of the hundreds of different camo types onto their weapon of choice. Some of these camos are unlocked by mastering a particular weapon, but all of them are unlocked by completing certain feats in Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer. If you see a camo that you like, be sure to check out the associated challenge.
You can also purchase Weapon Blueprints or Weapon Vaults that allow for even more granular customisation. Some of them even come with a few attachments already unlocked.

Charms, Decals, and Stickers
Weapon charms are back in Modern Warfare 2 and offer a cute, if small, level of personality to your weapon. These little charms hang on the side of your weapon during matches and look great in your enemy's kill cams.
Also applied to the side of your weapons are Large Decals and stickers. Just like the Weapon Charms, these add a little extra flair and personality to the side of your weapon, giving you something else to look at while gunning down the enemy team. These can be applied on top of your usual weapon camo, so get out there and create some disgusting combinations.
