MW3 Deep Cover mission guide & full walkthrough
MW3's Deep Cover mission can be tough, especially if you're a Call of Duty player who struggles with stealth, so here's a full walkthrough so you can complete the mission with ease.
MW3's Deep Cover is one of the toughest missions in the campaign, especially if you're on a high difficulty.
The section sees you playing as Laswell, who is attempting to infiltrate the Arklov Military Base in Urzikstan to meet up with Yuri. What seems simple on the surface can quickly become an exercise in frustration, as if anyone realises you're undercover, it's lights out for you in an instant.
So, to save you some time, here's a full Deep Cover mission walkthrough for Modern Warfare 3 that includes important tips and tricks to make the objectives a little easier to accomplish.
Modern Warfare 3 Deep Cover mission walkthrough
Conceal your pistol
You'll begin the mission as Laswell at the top of a cliff overlooking the military base with a suppressed pistol in-hand. Before attempting to enter the area, make sure to conceal your pistol to avoid drawing any unwanted attention to yourself.
Head towards the Admin Building
Make your way down the road towards the Admin Building and always stay on the opposite side to any soldiers walking towards you.
We also recommend walking rather than sprinting, as that seems to reduce the chance of enemies recognising your undercover.
Acquire the keycard for Admin Building
Before reaching the Admin Building, you'll come across a guard checkpoint. Simply walk through at a normal pace and no one should interfere or stop you. At this point, Laswell will realise she needs a keycard to enter the Admin Building.
This is where you need to act quickly, as shortly after this, an officer will emerge and be indicated with an objective marker. He will separate from a group of guards and head up a set of stairs into a building where he's isolated.
You need to follow him up these stairs, kill him, and pick up the keycard. Keep in mind though, if you're too slow following him, he'll leave the isolated building and your cover will likely be blown.
Find Yuri inside the Admin building
Once you're inside the Admin Building, you'll see a bunch of soldiers at the front desk. Go past them and head towards the objective marker.
In the hall on the right-hand side, you'll see a door on the left, head inside and you'll find Yuri smoking a cigarette. He'll provide you with the intel about the chemical weapons and even reveal why he's chosen to help Laswell.
Unfortunately, though, the conversation is cut short as two chemical missiles hit the military base and you need to escape.
Head to the roof to reach the helicopter
Exit the room and take the double doors on the right on the other side of the lobby, run down to the end of the hallway to find a set of stairs.
Then, head up the stairs and move down another hallway until you find a shaft on the left that's lit with orange light. Inside you'll find a ladder which you need to ascend.
Take the hallway to the right and you'll find another set of stairs. Head up them and burst through the door where you'll see Nikolai waiting for you in the helicopter. Jump onto the heli and make your escape. You've now completed the mission!
