How to find & destroy a Mercenary Convoy in MW3 Zombies Interceptor

If you are stuck at the Interceptor mission in Modern Warfare 3 Zombies, this guide will help you out as we talk about how you can find and destroy Mercenary Convoy in Modern Warfare 3 Zombies while discussing some of the known bugs stopping players from completing the mission. 

For players who don't know, Interceptor is a Tier 2 mission in the game's Story Mission, "Welcome to Operation Deadbolt," that tasks you to find and destroy a Mercenary Convoy and collect a Stronghold Keycard from it.

How to find and destroy a Mercenary Convoy

In Modern Warfare 3 Zombies, you can find the Mercenary Convoy along the four-lane highway that forms a circular ring on the map. The spawn depends on RNG, though the highest probability of finding the Mercenary Convoy is on and in the vicinity of the four-lane highway.

First, as you drop in a match, take hold of a vehicle and ensure it's fully fueled. After that, head to the highway and keep driving until you hear comms from DOBBS talking about the convoy. 

Once that happens, look at your mini-map, and you will find the Mercenary Convoy represented by three red vehicle icons. To destroy the Mercenary Convoy, you must first take out all the mercenaries that come out of the vehicle, including the named target holding the Stronghold Keycard. 

If you have already defeated all the nearby mercenaries and the quest is still not progressing, try destroying the convoy. Sometimes, you complete the objective by defeating all the mercenaries, though there have been cases where players had to destroy the entire convoy to progress.

The Interceptor mission in Modern Warfare 3 Zombies is bugged for many players. To fix it, you must follow our previous instructions, destroying the entire convoy using a Rocket Launcher or other Lethal weapon. 

If you are stuck at the second objective, "Collecting the Stronghold Keycard dropped by the Mercenary Convoy," try defeating the nearby zombies. 

Lastly, some of the players have reported that they fail to pick up the keycard, and even if they manage to pick it up, the game doesn't register it. You can fix this by simply heading to the Story Missions, selecting the Interceptor mission, making it active, and then collecting the Stronghold Keycard.
