What is the Salary Cap mode in NBA 2K24?
Salary Cap mode is the big, fresh game mode being introduced in NBA 2K24 MyTeam. The mode will see three rounds that last two weeks every season and see players using restricted salaries.
The Salary Cap mode will come in to replace Draft mode. In theory, the mode will level the playing field, emphasising savvy squad building, being frugal and highlighting the person playing the game's ability over anything else.

Changes to MyTeam Points and the new Player Market in NBA 2K24
NBA 2K24 looks to dish out even more MyTeam Points (MTP) this year, so it will be much easier to save points when in the past it was quite a challenge to accumulate too many of these points.
These changes come in tandem with another much-wanted change to acquiring players, with the Auction House now being left behind. The Auction House was a restrictive way to try and buy players, but now 2K have opted to remove this feature and replace it with the Player Market.
Now every player item should be available and the pricing, in theory, won’t be as restrictive as it was in previous editions of the game.
There will likely be a few more tweaks and changes to NBA 2K's most popular game mode, but we will have to wait and see when the game comes out.
