Octopath Traveler 2 Characters List
There are eight characters in total in Octopath Traveler 2, and you will have to journey through the vast lands of Solistia to recruit them all into your party. If you pay attention to the first letters of each character's name you might also notice a small nod that was also apparent within the first Octopath game.

Furthermore, the characters are split between two sections of the map, and you will need to travel by ferry in order to reach the other four at the beginning of the game.
Agnea Bristani
- Location: Leaflands
- Day Path Action: Allure (recruit townspeople)
- Night Path Action: Entreat (obtain items from townspeople)
- Latent Power: All Together Now (extent single target actions to all targets)
Agnea is a Dancer following in the footsteps of her mother, with dreams of adventuring the world. She has mostly support skills which boost your party, but also wields a Dagger.

Castti Florenz
- Location: Harborlands
- Day Path Action: Inquire (obtain information from townspeople)
- Night Path Action: Soothe (alleviate the pain of townspeople and send them to sleep)
- Latent Power: Every Drop Counts (make concoctions without using materials)
Castti is an Apothecary, but she arrives in the mysterious town of the Harborlands unable to remember her past or identity. She wields an Axe and is proficient in healing or party boosting abilities.
Hikari Ku
- Location: Hinoeuma
- Day Path Action: Challenge (challenge townspeople to duels)
- Night Path Action: Bribe (bribe townspeople for information)
- Latent Power: Shadow's Hold (unlocks new skills which deal high damage)
Hikari is a Warrior and the prince of Ku - a nation and empire driven by war and violence - who seeks people and change in a new world. He is a physical-based character who wields both a Sword and a Spear.
Partitio Yellowil
- Location: Wildlands
- Day Path Action: Purchase (obtain items in exchange for Silver Leaves)
- Night Path Action: Hire (hire townspeople to join your party)
- Latent Power: Hoot and Holler (fully replenish a party member's BP meter)
Partitio is a cunning Merchant who seeks to challenge the evils of capitalism and rid the world of poverty. He can use both the Spear and the Bow, and has a number of abilities which can grant you extra JP and Silver Leaves.

Ochette
- Location: Toto'haha
- Day Path Action: Provoke (challenge townspeople to a battle)
- Night Path Action: Befriend (take a townsperson into your party)
- Latent Power: Animal Instincts (access new high damage skills)
Ochette is a Hunter who is one with the animals, living on a rather remote island. She can use both the Axe and the Bow, and has the ability to capture monsters and turn them into various items.
Osvald V. Vanstein
- Location: Winterlands
- Day Path Action: Scrutinize (gain information from townspeople)
- Night Path Action: Mug (beat townspeople in battle to gain items)
- Latent Power: Concentrate Spells (gain powerful spells to use on a single opponent)
Osvald is a Scholar who has been given a life sentence for the supposed murder of your wife and daughter. His primary weapon is the Staff, and he can use an ability to discern an enemy's weak points.
Temenos Mistral
- Location: Crestlands
- Day Path Action: Guide (take a townsperson into the party)
- Night Path Action: Coerce (gain information through battle)
- Latent Power: Judgement (lower enemy shield points with any attack)
Temenos is a Cleric who embarks upon a mystery after encountering a tragic incident. He wields the Staff as a primary weapon, and is particularly strong against foes at night time.

- Day Path Action: Steal (steal items from townspeople)
- Night Path Action: Ambush (knock people unconscious)

Throné is a Thief and a member of the Blacksnakes thieves guild. She aims to rid herself of this life and its bloodshed though and journey through the lands of Solistia. She can use both a Sword and a Dagger, and gives her allies strength if the battle is occurring at night.
