How to get the Inventor Secondary Job in Octopath Traveler 2
Been reading all about it and wondering how to get the Inventor Secondary Job in Octopath Traveler 2? Check out this guide to learn more, including how to get the skills.
The Inventor Secondary Job is proving to be a rather excellent way to plow your way through the early parts of the game. While there is a whole manner of new powers added to Octopath Traveler 2, some do obviously stand out more than others as the ones you should be prioritizing.
If you're wondering how to acquire the Inventor Secondary Job though, fear no more as we've got all of the information you'll need in this handy guide right here.
How do you get the Inventor Secondary Job?
The Inventor Secondary Job can be found on the Eastern New Delsta Highroad, in a house with a windmill outside. Once you head inside you will be greeted by Arkar the Inventor, and he will give you the license you need to apply for the Inventor Secondary Job.
One of the reasons why the Inventor Secondary Job is so strong is how early it can be picked up. If you chose Throné as your starting character all you need to do is head just outside of New Delsta and it is right there waiting for you.
In terms of specifics, the Inventor's house is found if you head north slightly of the Eastern Highroad point, and then follow a path to the east and across a wooden bridge. The house is at a dead end, so it is hard to miss.
It is particularly easy to find if you start with a character on the western side of the map too, as the path down to Throné from the harbor will take you right past the Inventor's house, allowing easy access.
What is the Inventor Secondary Job in Octopath Traveler 2?
The Inventor Secondary Job is one of four specialist jobs outside of the eight that each character comes pre-equipped with. It uses skills that you cannot find otherwise and requires you to find special materials to obtain new skills as opposed to using Job Points.
It gives a wide range of abilities based on Arkar's various inventions, with each needing to be 'charged' back up again after use. They are all incredibly strong - especially within the early game - but come at a cost if you want to use them multiple times per battle.
Furthermore, the Inventory Secondary Job can only be used on a single character in Octopath Traveler 2. This is contrasting to the standard jobs, which give you up to four different uses, so you will need to think hard as to who suits the Job the best.
