You’ll need a character like Agnea or Throné who can steal items from NPCs. Nab a Sturdy Pickaxe from the former miner hanging out in Orerush’s weapon shop.
Once you’ve liberated the Sturdy Pickaxe, head over to Winterbloom and use it to help a woman free the Rusty Sword out of the stone. King Arthur, eat your heart out.
Porta will transform this fairly useless item into the Conqueror’s Sword.
This is a nice and easy one! If you want to pick up the rusty staff and transform it into the formidable Spirtlord’s Staff, you need to head to the center of the Seat of the Water Sprite Tomb Dungeon.
Head to the Crestlands region and sail under the waterfall in Borderfall to pick it up.
A not-so-easy one next. The rusty bow is in a chest guarded closely by the fearsome Behemoth in the deepest part of the Sinking Ruins.
Make sure you come stocked with plenty of Herb of Grace Potion’s to cure petrification. Here’s a handy tip though - it’s weak to polearm, axe, bow, and ice. Go get em tiger.
Once you fell this mighty foe, you can take the Rusty Bow to Porta to forge it into the hunter's bow.
The rusty dagger requires you to have completed the first chapter of Partitio’s story. You’ll need to unlock the ship to reach this weapon.
You’ll find the rusty dagger on the Shipwreck of the Empress - one of the Ship Dungeons in The Sundering Sea region of Octopath Traveler 2.
Make your way to the captain’s quarters, where you can open the chest that contains the weapon. Porta will forge it into the Dancer’s Blade.
Another fairly easy one. The Rusty Axe is guarded by The Lord of the Sands in the Quicksand Gaol dungeon. A scary name, but it wasn’t too difficult to take down. It’s weak to swords, axes, daggers, ice, and holy light attacks.
Porta will forge this weapon into the Lionheart’s Axe.
Finally, the rusty polearm. This weapon can be found in the west of Timerain Castle Town Square. You’ll need to knock out a man blocking a mysterious door, just like you did with the debt collector guarding Porta’s door.
Go through the door and follow the eastern path down. At the end of the staircase, going behind all the buildings, you’ll see a chest that contains the Rusty Polearm.
Porta will turn this into the powerful Warlord’s Spear.
