How to save in One Piece Odyssey
If you want to know all your options when saving in One Piece Odyssey, here's everything you need to know.
With such a long journey to embark on in One Piece Odyssey, you don’t want to miss out on losing too much progress in the event of a system failure or rage quitting after a rather challenging boss fight.
So if you’re wondering just how exactly to save to avoid that risk, here’s how to save when playing the game.
How do you save in One Piece Odyssey?
Unfortunately, unlike more modernized JRPGs that allow you to save anyway, One Piece Odyssey strips you of this ability. Instead, the game harkens back to true old-school gameplay, as you’ll only be able to save at specific points in the game.
Thankfully, the game does autosave fairly frequently to avoid you losing too much in case of an error.
There’s no ability to manually save your progress while exploring, so always make sure you know where the nearest save point is in the game. They also work to refill your health in a pinch, and if you happen to die in battle, you will respawn at the nearest one you saved at.
It’s a shame One Piece Odyssey hasn’t modernized its saving mechanics to make it a bit more accessible, but if you’re a fan of the classic PS2 era of RPGs, you’ll feel right at home with this more hardcore style.
