The Overwatch 2 battle pass has been revealed, and it has many similarities to the battle passes of other contemporary multiplayer games, so players should be familiar as soon they get in the game. One of the interesting aspects of the Overwatch 2 battle pass, is that all XP you earn counts towards it instead of levels, and it's key to unlocking some characters. So for a full rundown of everything you should know about the Overwatch 2 battle pass, we've got you covered.
Overwatch 2 Battle Pass: Free And Premium
Much like other battle pass models, Overwatch 2's version will feature a free and a premium version. The premium battle pass will cost 1000 Overwatch Coins which comes down to a price of about $10 USD. Coins can also be earned through completing challenges, though the amount you will get is not known at this point.
Much like other battle passes, progression is gained through playing the game and completing daily and weekly tasks. The premium battle pass gives players additional rewards for completing each level. Once the battle pass has been completed, you can gain additional Prestige tiers to gain access to unique heroes to titles that will only be available during each respective season. You will also receive a party bonus for grouping with friends, giving you a 20% XP Boost on the XP gained through your matches.
Overwatch 2 Battle Pass: Rewards & Kiriko
Of course, one of the most important questions is how new heroes will be unlocked given that they are set to release in season 1, season 2, and then every other season onward. Blizzard has shared that new heroes will be available at level 55 of the free battle pass while the premium battle pass players will have access to new heroes immediately. For Kirko specifically, she will also be available for owners of Overwatch 1 through the Founder's pack.

- Kiriko (Level 55)
