Overwatch 2 Summer Games 2023: Lucioball

Lucioball is an Overwatch Summer Games tradition!

What's the Overwatch 2 Summer Games without Lucioball? Lucioball is Overwatch's take on Rocket League. However, instead of driving rocket-powered cars, participants play as Lucio and must use his abilities to manoeuvre around the arena and manipulate the ball.

Lucioball takes place across three custom maps: Estádio das Rãs, Sydney Harbour Arena, and Busan Stadium. The first team to score three goals wins in this hectic and fast-paced 3v3 LTM.

Overwatch 2 Summer Games 2023: Winston’s Beach Volleyball

Take a break from Lucioball and try out Winston's Beach Vollyball!

Lucioball is a classic, but for the first time ever, the Summer Games will also include Winston’s Beach Volleyball! While Lucioball is inspired by football, Winston’s Beach Volleyball introduces the Overwatch roster to the sport of beach volleyball.

In Winston’s Beach Volleyball, you pilot heroes like Winston and must run, jump, and spike a giant volleyball toward your opponents. You get a point every time the ball hits the sand on your foe's side!

Overwatch 2 Summer Games 2023: Event-themed challenges and skins

For many, Lifeguard Mercy is the highlight of the Overwatch 2 Summer Games 2023.

Of course, the Summer Games 2023 offers a slew of themed event challenges for players to complete and skins to collect.

Finishing the event challenges will net you a brand-new tropical-themed skin for Doomfist and up to 50,000 Battle Pass XP. Furthermore, the in-game shop will feature a variety of Summer-themed skins, including a Lifeguard outfit for Mercy.

If you're particularly fond of the Summer-themed skins from previous Overwatch 2 Summer Games events, the Summer Games 2023 is also the perfect time to acquire those throwbacks.

That covers the basics of the Overwatch 2 Summer Games 2023. Make a splash in this fan-favourite Overwatch event, available from July 11, 2023, to August 1, 2023.

Yes, you can get old skins in Overwatch 2.
