While exploring the dark world of Pacific Drive, you'll often encounter a strange device called a Transmuter. It looks like a spherical dome featuring a glowing lightning bolt in the centre and blue stripes on the outer part.

However, since the game doesn't clearly explain the purpose of Transmuters in the game, many Pacific Drive players are baffled about their real usage. With that, here's everything you need to know about what a Transmuter is and how you can use it to your advantage.

What a Transmuter is and where to find it

Pacific Drive Transmuter

The Transmuter is a useful device that allows you to transform materials into other resources. So, if you're looking for specific materials, you can always head to a nearby Transmuter in Pacific Drive and interact with the machine to get the desired ingredient.

If you're having a hard time finding a Transmuter, I suggest looking inside the nearest Radio Tower and ARDA buildings, as these two locations are more likely to have one. If you don't find it in any of these spots, you can also search for this device inside portable containers that are abundant in the area.

How to use a Transmuter

Once you find a Transmuter in Pacific Drive, you must press the interaction button to see the device exchange menu and deposit the material that’s being displayed on the screen. For instance, I got the prompt to trade in 10x Rubber for 3x Chemicals, and it was a pretty good deal for me since I was farming this material during my exploration.

However, it’s worth noting that you won’t always get your desired item, so you'll have to look for another Transmuter if that’s the case. Overall, the Transmuter is a relatively useful machine, especially when you have plenty of extra materials in your inventory. So it’s always better to trade them instead of just disposing of the garbage on the ground.
