If you're wanting to get a Crafting License in Palia to expand your homestead and material production, we've got a rundown of exactly what you need to know.
Crafting Licenses are useful items in Palia that are necessary if you wish to make more money in the game and progress further throughout your adventure.
Where and how can you get a Crafting License?
To get a Crafting Licence in Palia you must visit the shop in City Hall. This is the cash register in the main foyer, usually tended by Kenyatta.
While there are many useful items for sale at City Hall, you can only access it and its list of housing upgrades once you have built your first house structure.
To do so requires the following materials:
- 35x Stone Brick: Made by placing stone into a Basic Smelter (the recipe for a Basic Smelter is purchased from Hodari upon achieving mining level two)
- 100x Sapwood Planks x100: Made by placing Sapwood into a Basic Sawmill (the recipe for a Basic Sawmill is purchased from Ashura upon achieving foraging level two)
Once you have used the materials above to craft your house and waited the allotted 8 hours, you can purchase a Crafting License for 500 gold from City Hall. You will also have access to other useful house additions and upgrades including a Writ.
Writs can be bought with renown (accumulated from completing quests, levelling up, completing achievements, and befriending villagers). Writs are particularly useful as they can be used to expand the land space on your lot.
What are Crafting Licenses used for?
A Crafting License will expand the number of crafting machines you can have on your lot by one.
You can also buy multiple Crafting Licenses, and each will increase in price. As of writing, you can have a maximum of 30 Crafting Licenses for an extra 30 Crafters on your lot.
Crafters are things like Smelters, Looms, Sawmills and other machines that produce materials. As such, if you're looking to create a profitable homestead, investing in Crafters and Crafting License is a good idea.
