Where can you find a Stripeshell Snail?
The Stripeshell Snail can be found along Bahari Bay, particularly along the sandy areas like Coral Shores, Lighthouse Lagoon, and Beachcomber Cove.
The bug spawns exclusively in the evening hours, meaning you'll only be able to catch one from 6:00 PM - 3:00 AM in-game.

How can you catch a Stripeshell Snail?
We found luck finding the Stripeshell Snail at Beachcomber Cove, but as the bug is rare it will spawn less than other common bugs.
As such, it’s a good idea to travel along the bay in a circuit, catching bugs along the way to allow others to spawn in and then returning to your starting areas.
Make sure you also have a good supply of Smoke Bombs, you can buy upgraded bomb recipes from Auni the higher your bug-catching skill is.
Luckily, the Stripeshell Snail is a bright pink color and fairly easy to spot on the sands. It may take several Smoke Bombs to daze the bug, so keep throwing them and chasing the bug, not allowing it to escape.
You'll know you've been successful if the bug stops and develops a starry animation above it.

How is Stripeshell Snail used in Palia?
Other than being gifted as a weekly want (which yields the most amount of friendship points in the game), the Stripeshell Snail can be sold at the shipping bin or General Store for 120 gold or 180 if it’s a star-quality specimen.
Additionally, if it is a star-quality bug, you can place it in your home as a terrarium decoration.
To do so, follow these steps:
- From your inventory, select the bug from the hotkey options (the bar in the bottom-right corner)
- Once you have highlighted the bug you wish to place, left-click, move the mouse to move the bug where you want it to be placed, then left-click again to put it down
- The terrarium will be added to your lot
