How to get Ancient Technology Points in Palworld
Learn how to get Ancient Technology Points so that you can craft Egg Incubators, Feed Bags, Grappling Guns, and other high-tech equipment in Palworld.
Ancient Technology Points are extremely sought after in Palworld, as you need them to unlock some of the coolest tech like the Grappling Gun.
These are different from regular Technology Points, and how you acquire them is different, too. So, let's review how to get Ancient Technology Points and what you can get with this special in-game currency in the action-adventure survival game from Pocketpair.
What are Ancient Technology Points?
Ancient Technology Points are a rare type of Technology Points used exclusively to unlock blueprints for Ancient Technology like Feed Bags or Sphere Launchers.
You'll still need to craft the Ancient Technology itself, but Ancient Technology Points are required to access the recipes. You can view blueprints and use your Ancient Technology Points in the Technology tab after pausing the game.
How to get Ancient Technology Points in Palworld
To get Ancient Technology Points in Palworld, you must defeat Alpha Pals and Bosses. You can find Alpha Pals all throughout the Palpagos Islands. Alpha Pals are variants of standard Pals, massive in size and stronger than their regular counterparts. Each Alpha Pal you defeat will award you a single Ancient Technology Point.
To really rack up Ancient Technology Points, you need to enter the tall Syndicate Towers around the Palpagos Islands and challenge the Bosses waiting inside. Boss battles pit you against another Pal Tamer and its Pal, and these fights are among the toughest activities available in Palworld. If you're victorious, though, you'll get a whopping five Ancient Technology Points.
Alpha Pals and Bosses will respawn eventually, but you'll only receive Ancient Technology Points the first time you defeat these formidable foes. Use the in-game map to keep track of which Alpha Pals and Bosses you've conquered already.
Everything you can craft with Ancient Technology Points
Below is a list of all the different crafting recipes you can unlock with Ancient Technology Points:
- Level 7: Egg Incubator
- Level 10: Small Feed Bag
- Level 12: Grappling Gun
- Level 14: Pal Essence Condenser
- Level 17: Mega Grappling Gun
- Level 20: Average Feed Bag
- Level 22: Hip Lantern
- Level 26: Large Feed Bag
- Level 29: Single-shot Sphere Launcher
- Level 32: Giga Grappling Gun
- Level 35: Huge Feed Bag
- Level 38: Scatter Sphere Launcher
- Level 40: Lily’s Spear
- Level 42: Decal Gun Set
- Level 45: Giant Feed Bag
- Level 47: Hyper Grappling Gun
- Level 50: Homing Sphere Launcher
It's worth pointing out that the level you unlock some of these items varies depending on your platform. This is the unlock order for me on Steam, but things look a little different on Xbox.
While regular Technology Points are fairly easy to farm, Ancient Technology Points are very scarce, so be selective in which blueprints you target with your Ancient Technology Points.
For example, if you're playing with friends and someone already unlocked the Egg Incubator, you could save your Ancient Technology Points for the Small Feed Bag or Grappling Gun instead.
Furthermore, some of the recipes cost multiple Ancient Technology Points, so consider hoarding a few so that you can unlock your favourite blueprints right away when you hit the necessary level on your Pal Tamer.
Level up, hunt down Alpha Pals, and clear Syndicate Towers to snag some Ancient Technology Points and unlock the finest Technology in all of Palworld.
It might not look like it on the surface, but there's a lot of depth to this game! Check out our Palworld homepage for more tips and tricks, like how to change your difficulty settings or the best Pals to catch in the early game.
