One of the first things you do once you fire up Palworld is to go into the character creator, but before you commit to a look, it's worth knowing if you can change your appearance later on.

I've made this mistake before - made my characters look like some twisted abomination because I thought it was funny and then was stuck with the monster for my whole playthrough.

So keep on reading to find out if you can change your appearance in the survival game from Pocketpair which will have players finding unique creatures, building bases and exploring the world.

Can you change your character in Palworld?

Right now, it is not possible to change your appearance in Palworld once you've started a game.

So whatever your character looks like in the beginning, it's going to have to stay like that unless you decide to start a fresh world completely from scratch.

Will you be able to change your character in the future?

Palworld character creator message

The good news is that mid-game character customization is expected to be added later down the line.

According to a small box on the character creator menu, this feature is coming in a future update, so if you do find yourself in a similar situation to the one mentioned earlier you will be fine eventually.

Right now, Palworld is only out in early access, so more features are expected to be added closer to full release. We'll make sure to update this guide once they're added, and we'll also explain how.

That's all you need to know about changing your appearance in Palworld. For even more guides, check out our Palworld homepage where we outline the difficulty settings, the recommended system requirements and more.
