How to buy & sell Pals in Palworld
Believe it or not, you can buy and sell Pals, too! Learn how this exchange works in Palworld, including where you need to go and who you need to speak to.
The main goal of Palworld might be capturing Pals, but you can actually buy and sell them, too.
Different vendors in Palworld offer a rotating stock of Pals, and these NPCs are also willing to pay for Pals. Let's dive into the basics of buying and selling Pals in the action-adventure survival game from Pocketpair.
How to buy Pals
Only a few NPCs in Palworld sell Pals. To buy Pals, you must find and talk to a Pal Merchant or a Black Marketeer.
Pal Merchants exist throughout the Palpagos Islands. You can find a Pal Merchant at Small Settlement, Duneshelter, Fisherman's Point, Marsh Island, Forgotten Island, and Sea Breeze Archipelago.
Some Pal Merchants reside in colonies with additional NPCs you can interact with, while others go about their business in solitary at isolated locales.
Alternatively, you can visit a Black Marketeer to get your fix for Pals. As surprising as it might be, there are more Black Marketeers in the Palpagos Islands than there are Pal Merchants. But Black Marketeers tend to lurk in the shadows, as the methods they use to obtain their exotic Pals are certainly illegal.
In particular, Black Marketeers prefer to do business in the safety of mineshafts. However, as you explore the Palpagos Islands, keep an eye out for Black Marketeers in other remote spots, like deep in the forest and on cliffsides and beaches.
Black Marketeers typically stock a wider variety of Pals than their Pal Merchant counterparts. Having said that, the rarer the Pal, the more it'll cost! Both Pal Marchants and Black Marketeers sell their Pals for Gold Coins.
How to sell Pals
The same NPCs that you can buy Pals from will also purchase Pals from you. Visit a Pal Merchant or a Black Marketeer to receive Gold Coins for your excess and unwanted Pals. Both of these traders pay identical prices for Pals, so there's no benefit to selling your Pals to one or the other.
When you interact with a Pal Merchant or Black Marketeer, you'll get the choice between buying or selling Pals. If you opt to sell your Pals, you can select any Pals from your Party or your Palbox. You can easily view how much each Pal is worth, too! Unfortunately, you can't barter with NPCs in Palworld.
The primary difference between Pal Merchants and Black Marketeers is that Black Marketeers are willing to purchase your contraband Pals. Black Marketeers have no qualms regarding buying Pals you poached from a Wildlife Sanctuary or even humans you captured in your Pal Spheres.
Speaking of capturing humans, it is possible to capture Pal Merchants and Black Marketeers and bring them back to your base. It's definitely unethical, but it ensures you have instant access to these coveted NPCs without needing to venture off and find them again somewhere in the Palpagos Islands.
That's everything you need to know about buying and selling Pals in Palworld! Buying Pals is a great way to acquire rare Pals you haven't encountered yet, while selling Pals is perfect for clearing your surplus Pals and collecting Gold Coins, which you can then use at a Wandering Merchant to purchase other goods, like schematics, guns, and more useful supplies.
If you already have more Gold Coins then you know what to do with in Palworld, you can use your Ancient Technology Points to unlock the blueprint for the Pal Distillation Pod and use it to combine your spare Pals and create a higher-ranking Pal.
