To unlock Olimar’s Shipwreck Tale, you’re going to need to complete the main portion of the game and defeat the Leafling Olimar and Moss in a final Dandori Battle.
Olimar’s Shipwreck Tale is effectively post-game content and acts as a segue that can be completed alongside your primary objectives.
After you have rescued Olimar in the Hero’s Hideaway, he will be waiting by his ship, the S.S. Dolphin in the Rescue Command Post, ready to regale you with the exploits that led to his current predicament that, in effect, also brought you here.

Where to find all Olimar’s Shipwreck Tale ship parts in Pikmin 4
In total, there are 30 ship parts you need to collect in Olimar’s Shipwreck Tale in Pikmin 4. As you collect more ship parts, more areas will open up to you, before you end up at the Hero’s Hideaway, and the tutorial area of the main game.
However, you only have 15 days to collect all of these parts, and time moves faster in this mode. So, you need to put all your Dandori skills to the test and meticulously manage your Pikmin.

This cave is 10 levels of Dandori Challenges and the way for you to collect the White and Purple Onions. So, it's worth completing so that you can have a fully functional multi-coloured Onion ship.
