Capture your favourite Pokemon from the Paldea region in Pokemon GO during A Paldean Adventure!
A new season of Pokemon GO has arrived, and with it comes a celebratory event titled A Paldean Adventure. As the name suggests, a Paldean Adventure introduces Pokemon from the Paldea region to Pokemon GO. This primer details what Trainers can expect from the game during A Paldean Adventure!

Pokemon GO A Paldean Adventure: Dates & times
A Paldean Adventure begins Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at 10am local time, shortly following the launch of the new season: Adventures Abound. The event will continue for five days, ending on Sunday, September 10, 2023, at 10am local time.
Pokemon GO A Paldean Adventure: New Pokemon from Paldea
The Paldea region from Scarlet and Violet is home to all kinds of never-before-seen Pokemon that have yet to appear in Pokemon GO. Well, A Paldean Adventure introduces all the Starter Pokemon from Scarlet and Violet, their evolved forms, and another surprise Pokemon to Pokemon GO!
Below is a list of the Pokemon you can encounter from Paldea when A Paldean Adventure goes live on September 5, 2023:
- Sprigatito
- Floragato
- Meowscarada
- Fuecoco
- Crocalor
- Skeledirge
- Quaxly
- Quaxwell
- Quaquaval
- Lechonk
- Oinkologne (Male)
- Oinkologne (Female)
During A Paldean Adventure, there'll be many opportunities to capture Sprigatito, Fuecoco, Quaxly, and Lechonk. When the event ends, these Paldea Pokemon will be limited to 5 km Eggs, and in Lechonk's case, 2 km Eggs. To get the evolved forms of Sprigatito, Fuecoco, Quaxly, and Lechonk, you will need to use the appropriate Candy.
Pokemon GO A Paldean Adventure: Ultra Unlock bonuses
The community successfully completed 20 Global Challenges during Pokemon GO Fest 2023, so now, all the surprise Ultra Unlock bonuses will be active throughout A Paldean Adventure!

You can go face-to-face with the following Unown variants globally in Raids:
- Unown A

- Unown E
- Unown L

Timed Research
A Paldean Adventure offers Timed Research encounters with the fan-favourite Lechonk.

- PokeStops may turn gold without a Golden Lure Module
- Quadruple XP for catching Pokemon
- Quadruple Stardust for catching Pokemon
Pokemon GO A Paldean Adventure: Event bonuses
The Ultra Unlock bonuses aren't the only bonuses active during A Paldean Adventure. If you like to hunt Shiny Pokemon, the following Pokemon are more likely to appear in their Shiny variants:

- Houndour
- Buizel
- Fletchling
Pokemon GO A Paldean Adventure: PokeStop Showcases
If you manage to capture a Lechonk that's particularly chonky, you can display it in Showcases at select PokeStops during A Paldean Adventure.

Pokemon GO A Paldean Adventure: Adventures Abound Special Research
Just like in the classic Pokemon titles, A Paldean Adventures includes a Special Research where Trainers can select one of the three Gen 9 Starters to be their partner Pokemon for the duration of the event! The Adventures Abound Special Research features branching paths and sends Trainers on an epic adventure with their partner.
The Adventures Abound Special Research is free and available to all Trainers, beginning on September 5, 2023, at 10am local time. Even if you can't participate in A Paldea Adventure, you can claim this Special Research at any point until December 1, 2023, at 9:59am local time.
Pokemon GO A Paldean Adventure: Wild encounters
Venture out and explore the wild in Pokemon GO during A Paldean Adventure for encounters with the following Pokemon:

- Houndour
- Buizel
- Fletchling
- Sprigatito
- Fuecoco
- Quaxly
- Lechonk
Aside from the Gen 9 Starter Pokemon, all these wild Pokemon can be Shiny!

You can hatch the three Gen 9 Starters, Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly, plus Lechonk, from 7 km Eggs during A Paldean Adventure.
Pokemon GO A Paldean Adventure: Field Research task encounters
Completing event-themed Field Research tasks will award you encounters with, you guessed it, Sprigatito, Fuecoco, Quaxly, and Lechonk.

A Paldean Adventure features an event-themed Collection Challenge that you can complete to receive Stardust and extra encounters with Lechonk. This Collection Challenge is an excellent way to farm for Shiny Lechonk.

A Paldean Adventure introduces a few fresh avatar items to celebrate the newly released The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero Part 1: The Teal Mask DLC for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Trainers can grab these cosmetics starting September 13, 2023.
