Pokemon GO: How To Evolve Galarian Slowpoke Into Galarian Slowbro
Galarian Slowpoke has an additional set of evolution requirements besides just using Slowpoke candy, unlike its Kantonian counterpart.
Here’s a quick overview:
- Make Galarian Slowpoke your Buddy
- While it’s still your buddy, catch 30 Poison-type Pokemon
- Make sure you have 50 Slowpoke candies
- Navigate to G-Slowpoke’s page and evolve it into Slowbro!
Pokemon GO: How To Evolve Galarian Slowpoke Into Galarian Slowking
Evolving Galarian Slowpoke into Galarian Slowking is similar to its other evolution into G-Slowbro. While Kantonian Slowpoke uses a King’s Rock to evolve into Johtonian Slowking, their Galarian forms are slightly different.
- Make G-Slowpoke your Buddy
- Catch 30 Psychic-type Pokemon
- Ensure you have 50 Slowpoke candies
- Navigate to G-Slowpoke’s page and evolve it into G-Slowking!
How to Get More Slowpoke Candies
If you’re short on Slowpoke candies, you won’t be able to evolve Galarian Slowpoke, even if you complete the other requirements. Luckily, Kantonian and Galarian Slowpoke share the same candy, and it’s not too hard to get.
Here are all the ways to earn more Slowpoke candies:
- Catch Slowpoke, Slowbro, or Slowking (any of their variants)
- Use Pinap Berries when catching members of the Slowpoke family to increase the candy earned
- Walk Slowpoke or its evolutions as your Buddy. They earn a candy every 3km
- Use Rare Candies
- Trade any extra Slowpoke or its evolutions with a friend (note: you can’t trade it back after)
- Transfer extra Slowpoke, Slowbro, or Slowking to the professor
- Place any member of the Slowpoke family into a gym and feed them Berries
If you’re having trouble finding Slowpoke in the wild, never fear. From time to time, it’s available as an encounter reward from Field Research tasks. Slowbro and Slowking also appear in Raids occasionally. Slowbro’s Kantonian form can Mega Evolve, so it’s sometimes featured in Mega Raids, too.
