If you aren't familiar with Golden PokeStops, you might be confused when you spot a PokeStop that's not the usual colour. Don't fret, though, because Golden PokeStops are always a pleasant find in Pokemon GO! Let's review what makes Golden PokeStops unique and where in the game you can find PokeStops.

Some of what you can find at Golden PokeStops in Pokemon GO

Golden PokeStops are a rare variant of PokeStops. These PokeStops sport a gold/yellow hue on the in-game map and award extra Poke Balls and Berries. Additionally, spinning a Golden PokeStop's Photo Disc will net you a bundle of Gimmighoul Coins.

If a Golden PokeStop appears due to a Trainer activating a Golden Lure Module, the PokeStop will attract Roaming Form Gimmighoul. You need 999 Gimmighoul Coins to evolve Gimmighoul into Gholdengo, so never pass up a chance to visit a Golden PokeStop!

Where to find Golden PokeStops in Pokemon GO

On a regular day of Pokemon GO, the only way to find a Golden PokeStop is if you or another Trainer turns an ordinary PokeStop into a Golden PokeStop by using a Golden Lure Module. You will receive a Golden Lure Module for every five Postcards you send to Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. However, during special events, like A Paldean Adventure, PokeStops may turn into Golden PokeStops naturally.

To locate a Golden PokeStop, simply scan the in-game map and look for PokeStops with a gold/yellow colouring. Note that Golden PokeStops only last 30 minutes before they revert to normal PokeStops. If you see a Golden PokeStop, make your way to it quickly before it disappears!

That's all there is to Golden PokeStops in Pokemon GO. These peculiar PokeStops are rare, but when you stumble upon a Golden PokeStop, they're worth venturing to.
