Examples of Snapshots in Pokemon GO

If you run into an aesthetically pleasing Pokemon while exploring the wilds of Pokemon GO, you can take a Snapshot of it before you try to capture it. To do this, enable AR+ in the top right-hand corner of the screen and then tap the camera icon above the subject Pokemon.

When the camera opens up, you might notice bushes moving in the background. Tap on the bushes to draw out additional wild Pokemon to pose in the Snapshot!

Sometimes, completing research tasks that involve taking Snapshots of a particular Pokemon is as simple as taking a Snapshot of a Pokemon in your Storage. To take a Snapshot of a Pokemon in Storage, navigate to your Pokemon Storage and select the Pokemon you want to use for the Snapshot. Now, tap the icon of the camera in the top right-hand corner of the screen, under the star.

If you're using AR+, you will need to use your camera and look around your surroundings for the ideal spot to toss the selected Pokemon. If you have AR+ disabled, the Pokemon will automatically appear.

Once your Pokemon is out and about, you can tap it and rub it to make it pose or run toward the camera. If you don't like how your Pokemon is positioned, you can tap the Pokeball icon to recall it, or you can merely change the angle of the camera.

Finally, after you set up the perfect spot, tap the camera icon in the bottom centre of the screen to take a Snapshot.
