Pokemon GO Mega Charizard X: Counters, Weakness, And Movesets
Charizard can Mega Evolve into two different forms, both of which are super powerful Pokemon in Pokemon GO.
One of the most popular Pokemon in history is Charizard, so it's awesome that it got two evolutions — Mega Charizard X and Mega Charizard Y, both of whom are available in Pokemon GO.
In this guide, we'll look at Mega Charizard X specifically, including how to defeat it in a Raid, and which moves to teach it.
We also have a guide to Mega Charizard Y in Pokemon GO.
Pokemon GO Mega Charizard X Weaknesses
Mega Charizard X has a different type combination than standard Charizard. When Mega Evolved, it becomes a Fire/Dragon-type, which means it has different weaknesses.
Mega Charizard X is weak to Rock, Dragon, and Ground.
With its new typing, Mega Charizard X now resists Bug, Electric, and Steel, and it has increased resistance to Fire and Grass.

Pokemon GO Mega Charizard X Best Movesets
At the moment, Mega Evolutions cannot typically be used in PvP, but they can be used against Team GO Rocket grunts. We've outlined Mega Charizard X's best moveset for PvP, which is the same as in PvE for the most part.
In PvE, Mega Charizard X will do well with Fire Spin and Blast Burn. It'll actually be one of the best Fire-type attackers in the game! Unfortunately, Blast Burn is a Community Day move, so you may need to wait for it to be available again or use an Elite Charged TM. Otherwise, Overheat is the next best option. Wing Attack and Fire Spin are even for fast moves, but remember that Mega Charizard X is no longer a Flying-type, so it won't get the Same-Type Attack Bonus from Wing Attack.
In PvP, Mega Charizard will do best with the same moveset of Fire Spin/Blast Burn. However, Dragon Breath/Dragon Claw can also be really good.
