The adorable Azurill is a very popular creature in Pokemon GO, so you might be wondering if Shiny Azurill is available in the game - and how to get its evolutions Marill and Azumarill.

With an Azurill Hatch Day taking place in Pokemon GO in September 2023, many Trainers will be hatching this cute baby Pokemon and enjoying the various bonuses the event has to offer.

Before you go Shiny hunting, though, you'll need to know whether Shiny Azurill is available in Pokemon GO.

Thankfully for hopeful trainers, Azurill can be Shiny in Pokemon GO. That means whether you're hatching Eggs day-to-day in regular gameplay or through events like the September 2023 Azurill Hatch Day event, finding a Shiny Azurill is a possibility.

Since Azurill can only be caught in Pokemon GO via hatching Eggs though, you will often need to invest more time into trial and error with only standard odds of getting a Shiny variant.

That's why it's always important to look out for special events like the September Hatch Day for example. As clarified by Niantic on the Azurill Hatch Day event page, not only would Azurill hatch from 2km Eggs more frequently in events like these, but there are increased chances chance of hatching a Shiny version as well.

To put the odds even more in your favour throughout Hatch Day events, you can utilise bonuses, like getting more 2km Eggs from spinning PokeStops, for extra chances at hatching Shiny Azurill. Plus, free and event-exclusive Timed Research Research can offer rewards like a Super Incubator - which adds a 0.67x multiplier to the distance required to hatch an Egg, each with three uses.

How to evolve Azurill in Pokemon GO

If you want to turn your new Shiny Azurill from Hatch Day or being caught in normal gameplay into a green Marill and even a golden Azumarill in Pokemon GO, you just need 25 Marill Candy for each evolution.

With the initial cost of 25 Candy to evolve Azurill into Marill, it's surprisingly only another 25 Marill Candy for the final stage. So altogether, that's a mere 50 Marill Candy needed to evolve your Shiny green Azurill into a golden Azumarill.

That's everything you need to know about if Azurill can be Shiny in Pokemon GO.
