How to get Tadbulb in Pokemon GO
Starting from November 7, 2023, Trainers can encounter Tadbulb, the EleTadpole Pokemon, in Pokemon GO. The Generation IX Pokemon will be prevalent through the Festival of Lights 2023 event.
During the Festival of Lights, Tadbulb will appear via wild encounters, albeit Tadbulb is a much rarer encounter than most other Festival of Lights wild spawns.
Using Incense during the Festival of Lights is a great way to draw Tadbulb out. Tadbulb has a much higher chance of showing itself when Trainers activate Incense.
Finally, if you're looking for a more reliable way to encounter Tadbulb, you can run into Tadbulb by completing limited-time Festival of Light–themed Field Research tasks.
Trainers residing in India can enjoy an exclusive Collection Challenge that awards a guaranteed encounter with Tadbulb, among other goodies like Stardust and XP. India-based Trainers also earn twice the Candy for catching Pokemon during the Festival of Lights.
Can Tadbulb be Shiny in Pokemon GO?
Unfortunately, you cannot encounter Shiny Tadbulb in Pokemon GO - at least not yet.
Shiny Tadbulb exists in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, so it should be added to the mobile game at some point in the future. Keep an eye out for any Electric-type or Paldea-themed events!
How to evolve Tadbulb to Bellibot in Pokemon GO
Bellibolt, the EleFrog Pokemon and Gym Leader Iono's partner Pokemon, evolves from Tadbulb. Usually, you'd need a Thunder Stone to evolve Tadbulb into Bellibolt, but in Pokemon GO, you only need 50 Tadbulb Candy!
