Pokemon Legends Arceus Legendary Pokemon
Dialga/Palkia
Dialga and Palkia are the first legendary Pokemon you will encounter in the game, just before the endgame. Depending on your choice between Adaman and Irida, one of these Pokemon will be available to catch first, then the other becomes a boss battle. After that boss battle, the second of the Creation Pokemon can be caught.
Manaphy/Phione
Manaphy and Phione become available together as a result of completing a request. That request is called The Sea's Legend, and is a tie-in to Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. To learn exactly how to complete this, check out our Pokemon Legends Arceus The Sea's Legend guide.
Uxie/Mesprit/Azelf
The three Lake Guardians appear early on in the story of Pokemon Legends Arceus. As is tradition, once you get past the credits, each of these Pokemon can be found again in their respective caves. Once you have spoken to Cogita about seeking out plates from legendary Pokemon, Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf can be found in their lake caves.

Heatran
Like the Lake Guardians, Heatran appears in the game after speaking to Cogita about gathering plates. Fittingly, Heatran can be found in a cave on Firespit Island. It is located in a cave behind where you fought Noble Arcanine. In the encounter, grab mud balls from the ground around the arena and throw them at Heatran until its shield breaks. Once it does, you can battle and catch it.
Cresselia
After speaking to Cogita about legendary Pokemon, Cresselia appears in the Coronet Highlands. Head to the summit camp and speak to Melli. Cresselia is in the same arena that you fought Electrode in. Once the encounter begins, Cresselia will reverse your movement controls. When you manage to get close to it, throw something at Cresselia to break its shield, then you can throw a Pokemon to battle and catch it.
Regigigas
Once Cogita sends you out to find legendary Pokemon, Regigigas can be found at Snowpoint Temple. Head into the temple where you completed the statue puzzle earlier in the story, if you haven't yet then check out Pokemon Legends Arceus Snowpoint Temple Puzzle Solution!
At the back of the first room, instead of going up the stairs go right and down into the basement. You will meet Adaman and Sabi outside a large door. Approach the door, and it should open with the plates you have so far. Inside is Regigigas, just approach it to begin the Pokemon battle.
Tornadus/Thundurus/Landorus
Tornadus, Thundurus and Landorus become available after you catch the previous legendary Pokemon on this list (Manaphy and Phione are not required). Once you have caught them all and defeated the Giratina boss fight, head back to Jubilife and speak with Cogita in Galaxy Hall. She will tell you that the three Forces of Nature Pokemon have appeared and will give you clues on where to find them.
Tornadus can be found between Bonechill Wastes and Avalugg's Legacy in the Alabaster Icelands, but only appears during a blizzard. Thundurus appears near the arch in the sea in Cobalt Coastlands, again only in particular weather, this time during a storm. Landorus appears on Ramanas Island in the Obsidian Fieldlands, there doesn't appear to be any weather condition required.
These Pokemon can be difficult to catch, if they see you they will attack you and run away. The trick is to use stealth as much as possible, stun them to break their shields, then you can battle and catch them.
Enamorus
Enamorus is a brand new legendary in Pokemon Legends Arceus, and is part of the Forces of Nature. It becomes available after catching the other three and raising their research level in your Pokedex to level 10. Once that is done, speak to Cogita at her home and she will tell you about Enamorus.
Head to the Crimson Mirelands, then down to the Scarlet Bogg to find Enamorus in the wild. Like the other Forces of Nature, Enamorus is wily. Sneak up on it carefully to stun it with a spoiled acorn, then throw a Pokemon to initiate battle.
- There are several new Pokemon in Pokemon Legends Arceus, including new evolutions. To learn more about them, check out one of our guides like How to Evolve Basculin in Pokemon Legends Arceus into Basculegion!
Giratina
The third in the trio of Creation Pokemon, Giratina can be caught after defeating it at the temple of Sinnoh. Speak to Professor Laventon and he will give you the request, Trail of Giratina. Head to the Cobalt Coastlands, then head to the Turnback Cave in the north of the map. Inside you will find Giratina where you can battle it again, and this time catch it.
Darkrai/Shaymin
Darkrai and Shaymin both appear in Pokemon Legends Arceus, on two conditions. One is that you complete the main story, the second is that you have save files from previous games on your system.
For Darkrai, you have to have played Brilliant Diamond or Shining Pearl and then complete the Darksome Nightmare request. To learn more, check out Pokemon Legends Arceus How To Catch Darkrai.
For Shaymin, you need Pokemon Sword or Shield save data on your console. Head to the blackboard in Galaxy Hall and get the request A Token of Gratitude. Complete the simple request and Shaymin will appear!
Arceus
Naturally, Arceus is available in Pokemon Legends Arceus. As you may have suspected, it was Arceus speaking to you through your Arc Phone throughout the game. When it said to catch all Pokemon then come to me, it meant that quite literally.
To face Arceus, you need to complete your Pokedex. Once that is done, head to the temple of Sinnoh to meet the god of Pokemon. This will begin a final battle, and should you win you can catch Arceus and claim it as your own.
That is every legendary Pokemon that appears in Pokemon Legends Arceus. For more handy info, why not check out Pokemon Legends Arceus Shiny Hunting: How To Shiny Hunt in Hisui.
