Milcery has returned in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet's Indigo Disk DLC, and while it's fairly easy to find in the wild, you might be struggling to evolve it into Alcremie.

As far as unusual evolutions go, the Fairy-type Cream Pokemon Milcery has one of the strangest in the history of the franchise. You don't need to train it to a specific level - instead, you need to perform a special ritual.

How to evolve Milcery into Alcremie in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet

To evolve Milcery into Alcremie, you'll need to add it to your Party, give it a Sweet item to hold, and then spin your Trainer around in circles using the Left Stick. Bizarre, I know!

These are the Sweet items you can give Milcery for it to evolve:

  • Berry Sweet
  • Clover Sweet
  • Flower Sweet
  • Love Sweet
  • Ribbon Sweet
  • Star Sweet
  • Strawberry Sweet

Sweets can be found on the ground all over the Terarium, so just keep on picking up glowing Poke Ball items and eventually, you'll find one.

The type of Sweet that you give Milcery to hold will decide what Sweet it wears on its head when it evolves into Alcremie. For example, if you evolve a Milcery with a Love Sweet, Alcremie will have hearts on its head!

This isn't the only way you can influence Alcremie's appearance, as we'll discuss the other factors below.

Alcremie forms explained

Several things can influence what your Alcremie will look like after it evolves:

  • Whether you evolve it during the day or at night
  • Whether you rotate clockwise or anti-clockwise
  • Whether you rotate for a short time or a long time

These three factors will influence what colour body your Alcremie has. For example, if you spin anti-clockwise for a few seconds during the day, you'll get a Ruby Cream Alcremie. If you do the same but spin for a long time, you'll get a Ruby Swirl Alcremie.

Combine this with the variety of Sweets it can display on its head, and there are loads of ways your Alcremie can turn out! The exception to this rule is if you evolve a Shiny Milcery, as Shiny Alcremie will always have the same body colour.

It's worth saving your game before evolving a Milcery that you're particularly fond of in case you don't like the Alcremie form you end up with. This is purely cosmetic, though, so it won't affect how it performs in battle.

Where to find Milcery in The Indigo Disk

You can find Milcery all over the Polar Biome in the Blueberry Academy's Terrarium. It's a pretty common spawn in the wild, so you shouldn't have too much difficulty finding one.

If you connect to the internet, you can also encounter mass outbreaks of Milcery throughout the entire Terarium between December 14 and December 21, 2023. This makes them even easier to encounter.
