This guide goes over everything you need to know about Mochi in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet The Teal Mask DLC. What does it do, where to find it, how to farm, and more!
Mochi is a delicious new item in the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Teal Mask DLC that has some very useful effects.
For anyone inspired by the latest Scarlet and Violet World Championships performances, Mochi will prove a key item in your competitive journey in the game.
Here’s everything you need to know about Mochi in The Teal Mask, including what it is, where to find it, and how to farm it.
Getting Mochi In Pokemon Scarlet & Violet: The Teal Mask
If you want to farm Mochi, the Ogre Oustin' mini-game at Kitakami Hall is your best bet. This mini-game has you ride Miraidon/Koraidon around a little field and pop berry balloons to earn Mochi. Cute.
Collect up all the berries you need and deposit them in the baskets, making sure to scare away any greedy Greedent with Roar. Pro tip - don’t deposit all your berries until your pockets are full, and try to collect the exact number, otherwise your pockets will get too full and Greedent will end up chowing down!
Bored of playing by yourself? Grab a mate - online or local - and team up to farm more Mochi.

What is Mochi in the Pokemon Scarlet & Violet: Teal Mask DLC?
Mochi is a traditional Japanese sweet, perfect for The Teal Mask’s Japanese-inspired Kitakami region.
In Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, this item helps to train your Pokemon’s EVs, or even reset them completely. That’s right - no more arduous farming for berries!
In case you didn’t know, EVs, otherwise known as effort values, are stats your Pokemon picks up as you use it in battle. Every Pokemon it defeats, or every Pokemon you catch, gives your team a specific EV.
For example, if you take down one of the Poochyena roaming around outside Mossui Town, you’ll get 1 Attack EV. Your Pokemon can gain 510 EVs in total, with each stat maxing out at 252.
You can imagine that 252 EVs in one stat would give you a serious competitive advantage, which is why pro Trainers spend so many hours (and Pokedollars) adjusting their EV spread with Vitamins.
