How to solve the clock puzzle in Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown
Our Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown clock puzzle guide will walk you through all four stages so you can complete the Celestial Guardians mission.
As you progress in the Celestial Guardians' mission and reach the upper city in Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, you'll encounter a tricky clock puzzle. In the puzzle room, you'll find a gigantic clock mechanism that isn't working properly because a couple of batteries are out of position.
Your primary objective is to place those batteries into their respective slots and get the whole mechanism running again in the game. However, it's not as easy as it sounds, which is why I've got you covered with a detailed guide to help you solve the Upper City clock puzzle in Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown.
Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown clock puzzle solution
The only way to solve the Upper City clock puzzle in The Lost Crown is by placing the batteries in the correct positions and aligning all three points of the clock mechanism. Before I dive into the details, make sure you've unlocked the Shadow of the Simurgh time power, which plays a key role in the solution.
The clock puzzle is divided into four stages, and here’s a detailed breakdown of each stage:
Stage 1: Left room
So, you'll head to the left room first, where you’ll find a purple battery. You need to place it in the spot just off-screen at the very top. There's a trap door; use this battery after placing a clone up there.
Grab the battery, place it in the top one, and then the second one. Grab it again, then switch to your clone and quickly throw it up. That will activate the red ring, which is the first point of the clock mechanism.
Stage 2: Lower room
Now, this room isn't too difficult. Stand on the left pressure plate, and it'll push out a wall in the centre. Put a clone there, then head over to the right pressure plate to move the battery to the right side.
Swap spots, and the battery will fall. Now, you can place the battery into the first socket, which will open the trap door up top. Place a clone up there, grab the battery, swap your position, and shoot it up quickly before the doors close.
Stage 3: Right room
Once you've got the red and blue rings activated, it’s time to switch on the yellow one. Once you make your way to the second room, pick up the battery, and put it in the first slot.
Then stand on the first floor, grab the battery, double jump and dash over, then shoot it up really quickly. If you're fast enough, you can get it before the trap door closes. Now, it's time for you to solve the actual clock puzzle.
Stage 4: Clock alignment (main room)
As you approach the main room, you'll notice three rings in front of you, each adorned with two colours, with one rotating independently on each ring. These colours include yellow, red, and blue, and your task is to align them all with their corresponding symbols.
Currently, the yellow and blue are in sync, but the red one is not aligned with the others. Align all three of them to pass through the home position simultaneously. To do this, step onto the dials and buttons at the centre. This action will halt the rotation of the rings. Focus on aligning the red one to align with the blue and yellow colours. There you have it – that's how you complete the clock puzzle.
