Princess Peach: Showtime won't have co-op or multiplayer - here's why
Princess Peach: Showtime, the new Nintendo game starring everyone's favourite pink princess, won't have multiplayer or co-op functionality. Find out more here!
Princess Peach: Showtime is the latest game to star Nintendo's most popular princess, Peach. However, the game won't have multiplayer or co-op.
In this game, players can unlock different transformations for Peach and play levels with different gameplay styles depending on her current costume. But if you were hoping to play with friends or family, you might be a bit disappointed to learn it's not a feature.
Princess Peach: Showtime won't be a multiplayer game
Princess Peach: Showtime is a single-player story game, and it's designed to be played alone.
With the game coming out in March 2024 and no multiplayer confirmation by Nintendo, it's clear that we won't be able to play the game with other people. This might be a bit of a surprise since games like Super Mario Bros. Wonder on Switch have co-op play, but Princess Peach: Showtime doesn't.
In fact, it seems there won't be any kind of online component to the game at all. You'll be able to play it offline, so no worries there.
Are there any other playable characters in the game?
As for the game itself, it seems that Nintendo wanted this game to be solely focused on Princess Peach. There are no other playable characters in the game.
In a way, the different transformation almost act like separate characters, as they all play completely different. Mermaid Peach is based on music, while Swordfighter Peach is all about combat.
Hopefully, this game is able to put on a good show when it comes out - I'm looking forward to it!
