You may want to know how to solve the Raft laser puzzle, as the story island called Temperance is full of different puzzles to solve that come as quite a stark difference to the rest of the early experience. Raft is mostly a survival crafting game, but there is a narrative you can follow throughout the experience by travelling to various story islands that come with set pieces and unique mechanics. The Raft laser puzzle is one that many players have been struggling with, so take a look at how to solve it.

Once you arrive at Temperance Island, you will need to gain access to the Selene Research Facility, which requires you to solve the Raft Temperance code in the Observatory, earning you the Blowtorch and the Selene Key. The Selene Research Facility is pretty easy to find, as it's nearby and clearly labelled above the giant doors. Use the Blowtorch to clear the snow from the keyhole, and then use the key to open the doors.

Make your way through the facility, where there are some simple puzzles to solve so you can open the doors toward the laboratory. Eventually, you will get to a room that reads "Laboratory 1" above the door, which has some glass panels and controls on the right side. Head up toward the wall on the right side as you enter, and activate the switch which will start the laser. You should see the laser bouncing off the glass panels, and behind one of them is a movable mirror that can be rotated with some controls in front of it. Slowly rotate it to bounce off the window in front and to the right and position it until it bounces toward the controls on the right of the laboratory door. This will open it and allow you to proceed toward the harder laser puzzle.

Head up the stairs and equip a hazmat suit from the locker next to the door. This allows you to survive the toxic gas present in the room with the second laser puzzle, but you won't permanently be able to stay in there, meaning you'll either have to finish the puzzle quickly or drop out periodically. There are multiple mirrors in the room to reposition, so it's a bit of a step up from the first one.

Once you enter, activate the switch on the wall to the right to start the laser. The laser will point directly at the first mirror, so go up toward it and stand behind where the laser is being reflected. Rotate it to the left so it hits the other mirror on the other side of the room. Head up to that mirror now, and again stand behind where it's reflecting the laser, and rotate it to the left so it hits the glass panels against the wall.

Turn around, and you will see the laser now reflecting to another glass panel on the opposite side of the room, which in turn is reflecting toward a mirror on its right. Head toward this mirror and rotate it to the right so it reflects the laser toward the mirror directly opposite.

Head toward the left side of the final mirror, and rotate it left toward the glass panel on the wall, so it reflects toward the door controls on your left. You'll now have finished the Raft laser puzzle and have access to the rest of the facility.

That's all for our primer on how to solve the Raft laser puzzle, and now you should be able to make your way through the Selene Research Facility.

Make sure you know how to unlock new characters in Raft, as many of them can be missed and one is available shortly after this puzzle.
