Lace up your boots - or don't, we know you Street Fighter maniacs sometimes fight barefoot - as Red Bull is bringing back one of its most esteemed esports events in their portfolio, as Kumite is back!
Returning for its sixth instalment, Red Bull has announced that Kumite will be coming back, where the best Street Fighter 6 players in the world will be on display, showing off elite skill in a bid to collect a nice payday in the sun.

What is Red Bull Kumite?
Red Bull Kumite is one of the biggest third-party Street Fighter esports series, with the iconic tournament returning for its sixth instalment.
Having been hosted in Paris, Tokyo, London, and Vegas, the global event will see 16 of the best Street Fighter 6 players in the world fight it out for a huge $50,000 prize pool.
15 of the players will be invited, and the final slot will be available to one player who is lucky enough to come out victorious at the Last Chance Qualifier.

Red Bull Kumite 2023 Location
Having ventured all around the globe since its origin in 2018, Red Bull Kumite is officially headed to South Africa for the first time.
The iconic Street Fighter 6 esports event will be hosted by the University of Pretoria, where there will be a live crowd of up to 1,000 fans.
Red Bull Kumite 2023 Dates and Tickets
Having last been held in 2021, with two instalments that year (London in May and Las Vegas in November), Red Bull Kumite is returning to its Spring-time schedule and will be kicking things off, literally, on July 1.
Lasting two days (until July 2), fans from all around the globe will be able to get their hands on tickets, with 1,000 on sale now.
The tickets will be split up between General Entry and Hospitality, with prices found below:

- Red Bull Kumite Hospitality - R 450.00
- Children under 2 years go free

How to watch Red Bull Kumite 2023
If you aren't one of the 1,000 fans heading to South Africa, you can watch Red Bull Kumite on Twitch and YouTube.
The Last Chance Qualifiers will also be streamed, which will take place on July 1, with the main event happening on July 2.
