How to get the Red9 Handgun in Resident Evil 4 Remake
In this guide, we share the location of the Red9 Handgun in Resident Evil 4 Remake while talking about how you can reach there and a few other things.
Resident Evil 4 Remake brings back Luis Sera's iconic Red9 Handgun as one of the obtainable weapons. But unlike the original, with Resident Evil 4 Remake, you cannot buy it from the Merchant in exchange for Ptas.
Instead, the Red9 Handgun is found inside a hidden treasure chest in a location many players may struggle to find naturally. Given that you can miss it after progressing through a certain point, you must know how to get Red9 Handgun in the game. Keep reading to learn more.
How can you get the Red9 Handgun?
You can get the Red9 Handgun from a treasure chest found in the front side of a broken ship in the middle of the Lake where you fight the Del Lago boss.
To get the Red9 Handgun, you must first complete Chapter 3, which ends right after you defeat Del Lago. After a short cutscene, Leon takes the boat to the Boathouse that leads to the Church's key location.
During the said segment, you can use the boat to roam around the lake area and other locations accessible only using the boat. One such location is the broken ship that we talked about earlier.
Use the boat to reach the broken ship's location in the middle of the Lake area, as shown in the below map screenshot:
Once you are there, go to the left side of the broken ship, and you will get a prompt to park the boat. Do it and make your way to the front side of the vessel. There you will find the chest holding the Red9 Handgun.
Make sure you have enough space in your suitcase to place the gun. Once placed, you can set it to a quick slot. Also, if you are wondering what to do with your current Handgun, we recommend you sell it and use the Ptas to upgrade the Red9, as it is the most potent Handgun in the entirety of Resident Evil 4 Remake.
