Where can you find the Old Wayshrine Key?

At the beginning of Chapter Four, you will discover the Mural Cave in which the Church Key is locked. You will need to collect two statue heads from points along the lake and reunite them with the mural to free the key.

As you progress on your journey you'll discover the Wayshrine Key located to the immediate left upon exiting the Mural Cave - it's located in a box on an altar.

Once you have the Wayshrine Key you will be able to unlock any Wayshrine treasures previously locked.

Wayshrines are wooden structures highlighted in green paint, on top of a draped altar, as shown in the image above, the key has a spider-like design and can unlock all Wayshrines dotted around the map.

Through lake traversal in Chapter Four, you can travel back to the Quarry area easily enough to unlock the shrines. To travel back to the starting village and farm areas though, you will have to wait until a later sequence. Don’t worry, you will have the opportunity to go back to previous Wayshrines you had to skip in the earlier chapters.

Once you have discovered and unlocked all available Wayshrine treasures the key will gain a tick in your inventory to mark it as completely used. You will then be free to sell the key to the Merchant without fear that you may need it for future chests.

The Wayshrine Treasures vary in value and can often be inlaid with gemstones to further enhance their selling value to the Merchant. You'll get a value boost if you're able to combine the gems in different color combinations.
