Apart from using Vipers to restore your HP or selling them to the Merchant NPC for Ptas, there is a particular side quest called Viper Hunter in Resident Evil 4 Remake which tasks you to find, kill, collect, and sell Vipers to obtain Spinel. This can then be used to get special items.

Similarly, you will encounter several wooden boxes with Vipers inside while progressing through the game's story. However, there is a location where you can find more than four Vipers in a single area: that's the Fish Farm location.

To complete the Viper Hunter side quest in Resident Evil 4 Remake, players must kill and collect three Vipers and sell them to the Merchant NPC. Doing so will complete the quest and reward players with four Spinel.

Moreover, players will also receive Ptas for selling those three Vipers. So, it's a win-win situation. The best part about the Viper Hunter quest is that you obtain it from the Blue Request Note near the Merchant outside the Town Hall building.
