If you're enjoying God of War Ragnarok on your PS5, there may be one thing ruining the fun a little - screen tearing. This is a visual bug that can occur when you're framerate and screen refresh rate are out of sync, literally putting a tear in the screen.
Here's what you need to know when fixing it.
How to fix screen tearing
The way to fix the screen tearing in Ragnarok is to turn on 'Favours Quality' graphics mode. As this runs with VSync On, you should have the screen tearing issue fixed instantly.
Screen tearing mostly occurs when trying to run the game's 'Favour Performance' graphics mode. This is due to the mode running with VSync off.
Other fixes for screen tearing
Depending on your monitor, alternative methods to fixing the God of War Ragnarok screen tearing issue can be enabling 120Hz output.
When in the settings of your PS5, go to:
- 'Screen and Video'
- Select the option for enabling 120Hz
- Set it to 'Automatic'
- Restart your PS5 and reload the game
