- Whilst in-game, press the X button
- In the main menu, press the L button to connect to the internet
- Choose the "Poke Portal" option

- Choose the "Get with Code/Password"
- Enter "SH1NYBUDDY"
- Once validated, the Shiny Lucario gift should appear
