The Sims 4 High School Grades cheat explained
To learn The Sims 4 's High School grades cheat and how to use it, read here, as this instantly increases (or decreases) a grade level for your Sim in education.
With the High School Years Expansion Pack for The Sims 4 whisking Teen Sims off into a more realised high school experience, you might want to bump up your Sim's grades the easy way with cheats if all the micro-managing gets a bit much.
So whether it's for storytelling purposes and you've got a Sim you want to see become a Valedictorian, or if you just want to skip all of the school-based gameplay to get them to a higher grade, let's breakdown how to advance your Sim's school grades instantly in the game.
How to cheat High School Grades
Depending on which DLC you have installed, the cheats to increase your Sim's grade differ a little:
- If you don't have High School Years installed, the cheat to increase your Sim's high school grade is: careers.promote highschool
- If you do have it installed, the cheat to increase your Sim's high school grade is: careers.promote career_Teen_Highschool
You can also use this format to lower the grade of your Sim! All you've got to do for that is to just replace the word 'promote' in the cheat with 'demote'.
Enabling cheats in The Sims 4
Now that you know how easy it is to raise or lower a Sim's performance at school, you'll need to know how to do it!
As with any cheat in The Sims 4 (aside from when using a mod like MC Command Center) to use the codes in your game, you must first summon the cheat box.
- To bring it up on PC, simply press CTRL + Shift + C
- For Mac, this is Command + Shift _+ C
- If you're a console player, summon the cheat box by pressing all four triggers together
Next, in that box enter either 'testing cheats true' or 'testing cheats on', hit 'Enter', and you'll be able to cheat to your heart's content.
Now that you know how to cheat a Sim's grade (we won't tell their teachers), check out the homepage for The Sims for cheats for the next stage in their lives in Discover University, or those for Toddlers, Vampires, Spellcasters, and Werewolves.
