How to find all the Gordo in Slime Rancher 2
Read here for all the Slime Rancher 2 Gordo locations including where to find them, what to feed them and what rewards you'll get for doing so.
Gordos in Slime Rancher 2 are super-sized slimes that often stand guard over rare items and portals to other areas of the map. To get past Gordos in Slime Rancher 2, you must feed them until they explode and clear the way forward. To find out all Gordo Locations and how to get past them, read here.
Pink Gordo
- Location: The Pink Gordo is to the west of the Rainbow Fields map.
- Food: Pink Slimes have no favourite foods; they will eat anything.
- Reward: The Gordo stands on a geyser which will take you to the switch needed to activate the portal to Ember Valley.
Cotton Gordo
- Location: The Cotton Gordo is southeast of the Fabricator Port, at the top of a small hill.
- Food: Cotton Slimes eat veggies, their favourite of which is Water Lettuce.
- Reward: The Cotton Gordo guards a cave which contains the switch to activate the Starlight Strand portal.
Phosphor Gordo
- Location: The Phosphor Gordo is very close to the southern Conservatory exit. Head down to the beach from here and look for the cave opening which the Phosphor Gordo guards.
- Food: Phosphor Slimes eat fruit, their favourite is the Cuberry,
- Reward: A treasure pod is contained in the cave behind the Gordo, you may also encounter a random spawn of a rare diamond.

Rock Gordo
- Location: The Rock Gordo is situated within the first major cave system. Follow the path from the Ember Valley portal right, once within the cave system the Rock Gorgo will be on top of a rock formation above. You'll need the Jetpack Upgrade to be able to reach it. Alternatively, you can access the Gordo from above through a hole in the cave ceiling. To get to this, you'll need to scale up the surrounding mountains.
- Food: Feed the Rock Gordo veggies, its favourite is the Heart Beet and will require less of these to explode.
- Reward: Once cleared the Rock Gordo will reveal a spring, jump up this to access a nearby treasure pod containing a Jetpack Upgrade.
Batty Gordo
- Location: The Batty Gordo is in the other expansive cave system to the southwest of Ember Valley. Once within the system, the Batty Gordo is on a lower level of the cave next to a lava lake.
- Food: Fruit, its favourite of which is the Pomegranite.
- Reward: This will clear the way to the lava section of the map where Primordy Oil and Lava Dust are more common to collect.
Crystal Gordo
- Location: Located in the north of Ember Valley within a small cave. Walk past the geyser and Batty, Rock and Puddle Slimes. The Crystal Gordo is overlooking the system on a raised rock above to the left. You'll need the Jetpack Upgrade to be able to reach it above the lake.
- Food: Veggies, its favourite of which is the Odd Onion.
- Reward: A geyser opens underneath it which gives you access to the mountaintops area and the Tabby Gordo Island.
Tabby Gordo
- Location: The Tabby Gordo is on a small island to the north of Ember Valley. To reach this level you'll need to unlock the Crystal Gordo first.
- Food: Meat, its favourite of which is the Stony Hen.
- Reward: The Tabby Gordo guards a portal which is an additional entryway into Ember Island from the Rainbow Fields.
Boom Gordo
- Location: The Boom Gordo is located at the westernmost point of Ember Island. You'll need to travel to the volcano area of the map, past the Batty Gordo to access the area. The Boom Gordo stands on a dais surrounded by lava pools.
- Food: Meat, its favourite of which is the Briar Hen.
- Rewards: This opens a door leading to a research drone. Two treasure pods are located within, one will contain a rare diamond, the other the blueprints for an Ember Valley portal.

Ringtail Gordo
- Location: The Gordo is located within the pink region of Starlight Strand, to the southeast. It stands across a large stone bridge surrounded by Flutter Slimes. During the day it turns to stone and will resemble a large Ringtail statue. Wait for nightfall to feed it.
- Food: Ringtail Slimes have no favourite foods; they will eat meat or veggies.
- Reward: The Ringtail Gordo guards an additional portal into Starlight Strand from the Rainbow Fields.
Hunter Gordo:
- Location: The Hunter Gordo is in the west of Starlight Strand. It is hidden in a rocky alcove past some mushroom trees. Follow the western path down a hill as it circles and look for the mushrooms to indicate the alcove entrance.
- Food: Meat, it prefers Roostros.
- Reward: Behind the Hunter Gordo is a doorway leading to a shortcut through Starlight Strand and a treasure pod.
Honey Gordo:
- Location: Head towards the centre of the pink region on the map. The Honey Gordo is on a ledge overlooking a waterfall in a valley filled with Honey Slimes.
- Food: Honey Slimes eat fruit and love Mint Mango.
- Reward: Beyond the Honey Gordo is a cave which contains a gate shortcut. Use a Phosphor Plort to unlock this. Within the cave is a treasure pod and tank upgrade.
Angler Gordo:
- Location: The Angler Gordo is in an underground cave near the Ringtail Gordo. Access the cave via a beach pathway to the southeast of Starlight Strand.
- Food: Meat, its favourite is the Sea Hen.
- Reward: The Gordo is placed on top of a geyser which will carry you up through the cave ceiling to a shortcut to the Ringtail Gordo.
Flutter Gordo:
- Location: The Flutter Gordo stands on top of a high pedestal overlooking the pink valley on the map. Behind the Gordo is a bright light filtering through a crack in the rock, you can follow the light to easily navigate to the Flutter Gordo.
- Food: Moondew Nectar, this only grows at night and by morning it will perish. Collect them from blue flowers on the trees in the area.
- Reward: There is a cave underneath the Gordo with a research drone. Inside is a reassure pod containing the blueprints for making a Starlight Strand portal at the Conservatory.
