Upping your credit count in Star Wars Outlaws is an essential part of progression, as you'll be able to purchase new items and even bribe your way to success in certain scenarios.

Getting your hands on credits can be a tricky task though, but I've outlined all of the best ways to secure the coin right here!

Best ways to earn credits fast

  • Selling valuables
  • Pickpocketing
  • Opening chests
  • Completing quests

You can earn yourself credits in a number of different ways, but the above methods will help you increase your balance quickly - especially in the early stages of the game.

Selling valuables

You'll find valuable items all around the world, designated by a note in your inventory letting you know that they're safe to sell. These items are purely meant to increase your credit count, and you simply need to head to the nearest merchant to cash in.

Thankfully you can press Triangle / Y when speaking to vendors and sell all of your valuables in one easy swoop. This won't sell items that have any purpose beyond being sold - no matter how small - so you've got nothing to worry about here.

Pickpocketing

As one of Nix's many tricks, you're able to pickpocket random civilians in any of the cities you come across. Hold L1 / LT to enter Nix's detailed control mode, and if there are any available pickpocket targets nearby they'll be highlighted and the Triangle / Y 'Steal' prompt will appear.

Nix will then rush over to them, and a QTE will trigger, prompting you to press L1 / LB before the time runs out. If you do so successfully you'll gain some credits - although failed attempts will land Kay in deep trouble.

Opening chests

Alongside the valuables you'll find, chests offer significant boosts to your credit balance - particularly those found in treasure locations. These tend to be far more hidden though, rewarding you for your exploration.

You'll either find these in the more linear sections or in any treasure spots out in the open world, so definitely keep your eyes peeled as you work your way through an area.

You'll sometimes need to get through a lock in order to access these chests too, but the tougher the lock the greater the reward!

Completing quests

The final and arguably best way of earning credits in Star Wars Outlaws is by completing quests, both across the main path and within Syndicates.

These quests often give upwards of 1,000 credits, which definitely makes up for the time (and risk) you'll invest into completing them.

What you'll also want to watch out for are the numerous opportunities that spring up during these quests, as other Syndicates present you the chance to double-cross, deceive, and defect. This can result in more money at the cost of your reputation, but you might find yourself out of pocket if it means preserving certain relationships.
