Star Wars Outlaws: How to make Nix happy
Making Nix happy can be quite the task in Star Wars Outlaws, but thankfully I've laid out all of the different methods you can use to cheer up your companion.
Making Nix happy in Star Wars Outlaws isn't just something you should be doing for your companion, but a key part of unlocking the Treasure Hunter ability. As you can imagine this request is a bit vague, but I've broken down everything you can do to cheer up your companion below.
What makes Nix happy?
There are a number of different ways that you can make Nix happy in-game, but here are the easiest and most reliable routes that I found:
- Petting Nix (hold L1 / LB and press the 'Pet' prompt when nearby Nix)
- Completing a Street Food Event and receiving one of Nix's Treats
- Performing a Speed Boost in your Speeder (press Square / X after it's unlocked via the Mechanic)
- Swinging with your Grappling Hook
- Detonating a Smoke Barrel (press L1 / LB when looking at a Smoke Barrel, then press L1 / LB multiple times once the prompt appears)
- Disabling and trapping alarm systems (press L1 / LB when looking at an alarm)
As far as I can tell, each method only tracks the first time that you do it, meaning you'll have to do at least four of the above before you can unlock the Treasure Hunter ability.
Once you've done this and unlocked the Treasure Hunter ability, Nix will spot and highlight any containers in the world for you to open. This is especially helpful for keeping your Credit count high, as containers are one of the best sources of money in the galaxy.
