Stardew Valley developer ConcernedApe has revealed there will be a Stardew Valley 1.6 update despite previous announcements that the developer would be solely working on his next project Haunted Chocolatier.

New Stardew Valley content update
Via a recent Tweet, ConcernedApe has revealed that he will be temporarily halting progress on Haunted Chocolatier to implement a new Stardew Valley update, before commencing again on Haunted Chocolatier.
He states that the new update will be a lot smaller than the 1.5 Ginger Island update, so fans will need to temper their expectations.
He did confirm, however, that there will be some gameplay additions, including more dialogue for NPCs. A welcome addition for fans of Pelican Town's charming and sometimes unusual inhabitants.
The main focus of the update, however, will be making Stardew Valley easier to mod. Stardew Valley is well-known for its modding community which continuously adds new content and adds to the longevity of a game that was originally released in 2016 and still shows no sign of slowing down.
Do we know when the 1.6 update will launch?
We still don't know the release date for the Stardew Valley 1.6 update, and ConcernedApe hasn't even given a window for when to expect it yet. We'll update this guide once a date is announced.
