Stardew Valley Sam: What Does Sam Like?
The easiest loved gift to acquire for Sam is Pizza. These can be found in Gus’s permanent stock at the Stardrop Saloon. Costing 600g each, if you have the money spare they can be quickly bought and gifted. They can also be made with Wheat Flour, Cheese and Tomato, the recipe will be given from The Queen of Sauce, 7 Spring Year 2.
Tigerseye is a mineral that can be found when breaking open Magma and Omni Geodes at the Blacksmith. If you’re a player that spends a lot of time in the mines this may be the option for you.
The recipe for a Maple Bar is also found on The Queen of Sauce in Year 2, and the Cactus Fruit is a common forage item from the Calico Desert. This means you will have to unlock the bus stop by completing the Vault Bundles at the Community Centre first, to access it. If you do have access to the Calico Desert, then Cactus Fruit is likely to spawn there, and Cactus Fruit Seeds are available to buy there.

Stardew Valley Sam: Heart Events
Two Hearts
Part One
The player enters Sam’s room whilst him and Sebastian are practising on their instruments. Sam tells them that they are trying to start a band but are struggling to decide on the genre of music they should play. The player can proceed to pick a genre for them and Sam agrees.
Part Two
If two hearts are achieved before Year 2 starts, this scene is unlocked. The player joins Sam and his brother Vincent on the beach. Vincent asks if their dad is ever going to come home (Kent is a soldier on deployment during the first year). Sam assures Vincent that he will come back, privately to the player he confessed that he isn’t so sure about that but wants to keep hope alive for Vincent.
Four Hearts
The player walks into Sam’s house as he is grabbing himself a snack. He drops an egg on the floor and creates a mess. His mother comes in and asks what happened. The player can either tell the truth (-10 friendship), take the blame (+50 friendship), or lie and say that Sam did it on purpose (-50 friendship). Sam says he will clean it up and Jodi leaves.
Six Hearts
Sam is caught by Mayor Lewis skateboarding and drifting off of Emily and Hayley’s flower planters. The Mayor tells him off, and the player can either side with the Mayor or stick up for Sam and say that its not his fault that there aren’t any suitable areas to skateboard. Sam apologises to the mayor.
Eight Hearts
Sam arrives at the players farm to invite them to a concert his band is playing at. The player then meets Sam at the bus stop and travels to the gig with everyone else that is attending. The band consisting of Abigail, Sebastian and Sam then play their song (which will be the genre the player picked in the previous heart event). The concert is a success.
Ten Hearts (After gifting the Bouquet)
The player and Sam sneak into his room at night. Sam asks them how they feel about him as Jodi walks into the room. The player hides in Sam’s bed, and Sam lies about the source of the noise in his room. Jodi leaves, the player can either move from the bed and reject Sam or stay put, in which case Sam joins the player and kisses them.
