How to unlock all achievements

Starfield Shattered Space DLC

Main quests

All of the achievements that have a description starting with “Complete” mean that you’ll need to finish the main questline.

I recommend that you focus on playing only the primary missions if you want to get these out of the way as quickly as possible.

The Great Unknown

The next step will be to explore as much of the new planet Va’ruun’kai as possible, as you’ll need to discover 50 locations to unlock The Great Unknown.

The quickest way to do this is to hop in your Space Rover and whizz around the outskirts of the city. Look out for distinct landmarks, and you’ll reach 50 discovered locations in no time.

Facing Your Fears

To unlock Facing Your Fears, you’ll need to defeat 25 Vortex Horrors. These are particularly horrific enemies that you’ll come across while exploring Va’ruun’kai.

You can take them down faster by aiming for their knees, which is their crit spot. If you look at them once they’re dead, you’ll see this is because they have faces in the middle of their legs. Creepy!

Redemption Arc

Redeemed are another enemy introduced in the Shattered Space DLC, and you’ll need to defeat 10 of these to unlock the achievement.

You should come across these enemies while playing through the main campaign, so don’t worry too much about going out of your way to unlock this one.

If you need to find more, take up a few more side quests or explore some of Va’ruun’kai’s outer reaches.

Five of a Kind

This achievement asks you to craft one of each type of Vortex grenade. You’ll need a bunch of Vortex Shards for this, which you can harvest from the blue-ghost-like enemies that you kill during the main story.

Here are all the other resource requirements you’ll need for each of the grenades, which you can craft at a workbench.

Binding

  • 1 Dark Vortex Cyst
  • 1 Vortex Shard

Charged

  • 1 Glowing Vortex Cyst
  • 1 Vortex Shard

Lure

  • 1 Vortex Cyst
  • 1 Dark Vortex Cyst
  • 1 Vortex Shard

Phasing

  • 1 Vortex Cyst
  • 1 Glowing Vortex Cyst
  • 1 Vortex Shard

Unstable

  • 1 Vortex Shard
  • 1 Vortex Cyst

Savior of the Promised

The description of Savior of the Promised asks you to aid the people of Va’ruun’kai, which is rather cryptic. To unlock the achievement, you’ll need to complete several side quests on the new planet.

Players have reported this achievement being a little fiddly to unlock, with some folks unlocking it after completing only five side quests. Others have had to grind out nine or ten.

Regardless, here are all the side quests that we know contribute to unlocking this achievement:

  • A House Divided
  • Fallen Footsteps
  • Legacy of the Fang
  • Lost and Found
  • Path of Redemption
  • Scientific Method
  • Sympathy for the Living
  • The Courier
  • The Duel
  • Twice Reformed

You can find these side quests by wandering around the main city of the planet and speaking to NPCs.
