Steelrising Best Weapons
Come and take a look at our list of the best Steelrising weapons that you can use throughout the game.
You may want to know what the best Steelrising weapons are so you can take on the hordes of automats wreaking havoc across Paris. Steelrising is a souls-like action RPG set during the French Revolution, and it gives you access to nine different weapon types, which come with their own unique abilities and properties. With two slots to equip weapons at once, you may want to make sure you have the most powerful ones at your disposal, so check out our Steelrising best weapons breakdown.
Steelrising Best Weapons: Body of Work
Body of Work is one of the weapons you can begin the game with, and if you specialise your build correctly and upgrade it frequently, it can be your strongest ally for the whole experience. It's essentially a warhammer that's just three scrolls stuck together, one of which has a spike at the end.
It's a heavy weapon, so the attacks are slower than most others, but it makes up for it with massive damage and the ability to stun or knockdown even the biggest opponents. Body of Work primarily scales with the Power stat, so you should focus that attribute the most if you intend to make good use of the weapon. It also comes with the Shield special move, which allows you to create a temporary shield for blocking enemy attacks.
Steelrising Best Weapons: Falchion and Sabre
Falchion and Sabre is a double whammy of death that can be picked up from a chest during the first level of the game, shortly before reaching the dock to get the boat to Paris. This is one of the best weapons in the game for players who focus on Agility, as it deals a huge amount of damage with its fast attacks, and has a lot of mobility with its extra moves like the dash or sprint attack.
The strongest feature of the Falchion and Sabre is the special move called Blade Tornado. It can take a while to charge up, so you will need to find space first, but it will unleash a devastating attack where you can spin around with both swords held out. It dishes out a tonne of hits at once, and the damage is frequently massive, though it will drain your stamina instantly.
Steelrising Best Weapons: Charleville 1789 Shield Musket
The Charleville 1789 Shield Musket is another weapon that's powerful throughout the whole game, and has some of the best utility of the weapons on this list. It can be found in a chest in the first area of the game once you climb onto the bridge out of the gardens.
The Charleville is a ranged weapon that deals Frost damage, which allows you to freeze enemies by attacking them enough times and filling the Frost metre. This works against standard enemies and even bosses, though enemies that use Frost attacks will be resistant. It scales its damage with the Alchemy attribute, but even if you don't level it up, you can still get a lot of use out of its freezing ability. However, it's worth noting you will need to stock up on Alchemical Capsules frequently to keep using it.
Steelrising Best Weapons: Nemesis Claws
The Nemesis Claws can also be obtained in the first level of the game, where they are found in a chest shortly before the dirt path leads into the forest. They are a set of massive claws you can fit on each hand, that deal a lot of damage from swift attacks and frequent lunges, allowing you to close the distance with enemies easily.
They scale from Agility, making them perfect for Dancer starters, and they are one of the best weapons in the game for inflicting Immobilisation. This is essentially a metre that fills as you attack a specific enemy, eventually causing them to be immobilised so you can perform a critical hit for massive damage. This works on the regular enemies and bosses, and is a consistently effective way to whittle down the latter's health. The special move for the Nemesis Claws is the Counterattack, which allows you to reverse an enemy attack with a well-timed input to deal a lot of damage.
Steelrising Best Weapons: Fire Chain
The Fire Chain can be gained during the second level, and is easily the best chain weapon in the game. You can find it after first meeting the Assault Acolyte enemy in the church graveyard, where you come to the open courtyard with two Light Jaguars and another Assault Acolyte.
The Fire Chain has high base damage and decent range that extends during certain moves. This can take getting used too, but once you have mastered it you will be a threat at all ranges. It scales with both Power, Agility, and Alchemy so is perfect for players who make a more hybrid build. It's real strength comes from the Invocation of Fire special move though, as this allows you to set the chain on fire for a period of time, causing extra fire damage on all your attacks which can also set enemies alight for a damage over time effect.
That's all for our breakdown of the best Steelrising weapons, and now you know which ones are worth upgrading for use throughout the whole game.
