Steelrising Module Keys are an important resource that will you be able to find throughout the game, allowing you to upgrade your module slots and become more powerful and effective in combat. Steelrising gives you a few different ways to upgrade yourself, such as raising your attributes during a level up, gaining more Burettes for healing, and using Module Keys for different buffs. What Are Steelrising Module Keys?
Steelrising Module Keys are a resource that you can use to both upgrade and unlock module slots. Module slots allow you to equip modules which provide different buffs and effects, such as increased health, or the ability to regain HP from critical hits. You have a total of four module slots, with one unlocked by default, however, the rest need to be opened by spending a single Module Key each at a Vestal. They can be further upgraded with three and then five Module Keys, allowing for stronger level two and three modules.
Where To Find Steelrising Module Keys
There doesn't seem to be a finite amount of Steelrising Module Keys, and you should get more than enough to fully upgrade the module slots over the course of the game. There are two main ways of earning Module Keys: exploration, and defeating specific enemies.
During your travels around Paris, you will find sometimes come across dead automats off the beaten path, tucked away in corners, and in secret areas you can access with your traversal tools. Just go up to them and interact with the blue light that indicates an item pickup, and many times you will be rewarded with Module Keys.
The other way to earn Module Keys is by defeating the Unstable bosses. Throughout the game, you will come across stronger versions of standard enemies who are called Unstable bosses. You'll know you are about to fight one when the air has blue mist permeating it, and upon defeating and looting them, you can often get a Module Key and a module to slot in.
