Here's how to perform Stellar Blade's perfect parries & dodges
Here you'll find out how to perform perfect parries and dodges in Stellar Blade and learn about the skills and equipment that will help make them easier.
If you’re looking to learn how to perfect parry and dodge in Stellar Blade, this guide will break down how to do so to protect you from some devastating Naytiba damage - as performing them in the early game can be a little tricky.
The game has various gear and skill enhancements that will also make it easier for you to parry and dodge, so I’ll break down the exact items and skills you’ll need to help you out on your adventure.
How to perform perfect parries & dodges
To perform a perfect parry in Stellar Blade, you’ll need to press L1 on your DualSense controller at the moment an enemy’s attack is about to make contact. When you do, you’ll see an orange flash of light that indicates you’ve hit it at the right time.
To perform the perfect dodge, you’ll need to press the Circle button at the moment the attack is about to hit you. It also helps to shift the left stick in the direction you want to go.
Making perfect parries & dodges easier
As you upgrade your skills and gear in Stellar Blade, you’ll get your hands on new abilities that increase the window of opportunity to perform a perfect parry or dodge, as well as acquire new gear that will also help in that department.
The Reflex-Type Exospine, when fully upgraded, improves both your dodging and parrying capabilities. Focus Boost and Reflex Boost skills will do the same, which are part of the Survival skill tree and require SP to upgrade.
