Find out much storage space Street Fighter 6 needs
Street Fighter 6 brings a new generation of fighters to a new generation of consoles, but how much of your precious hard drive space is it going to demand?
Street Fighter 6 is the first (and likely only) entry from the classic fighting game franchise on the current generation of consoles. The download size of games has gone through the roof in recent years - could this be the game to buck that trend? Here is everything you need to know about the Street Fighter 6 download size on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox.
How big is the download size?
For the most part, downloading Street Fighter 6 is going to require 50 to 60 gigabytes of free space. Not quite as gigantic as games like Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, but by no means a small amount.
PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S fans can expect a download size of 54 GB, although it will come in parts. The game is divided into three parts; the main chunk of the game is the Battle Hub, and then the World Tour and Fighting Ground as DLC. The same can be expected for Xbox players as well.
On PC, the game can be purchased on Steam. According to the Steam page, the game is expected to be 60 GB. It isn't unusual to see a slightly larger file size in PC versions, as there can be more files involved.
Street Fighter 6 preload
Street Fighter 6 is nearly here, and fans who preorder the game can preload it now. On PS5, Xbox, or on Steam, head to the game in your library or in the store and you should have no issue downloading it ahead of time.
Considering the 50+ GB file size of Street Fighter 6, this is certainly a good candidate for preloading. Once it is downloaded, you will be ready to play as soon as the Street Fighter 6 release time comes around.
