With Street Fighter 6 finally in the hands of excited players worldwide, it is important to know whom you will be playing as and against if you’re going to get ahead.
One of the most recognizable faces in Street Fighter (if not also in gaming) is the iconic Ryu, who is making his triumphant return in Street Fighter 6. We’re going to be going through everything you need to know to get started playing as Ryu in the game, including his lore, combos, and the best ways for you to get a handle on him.
How do you play Ryu?
In Street Fighter 6, Ryu is a jack-of-all-trades, with a mix of close-quarters combat and ranged abilities that are difficult for opponents to avoid. He is the most consistent character to get to grips with from the start.
While the ranged attacks are great for chipping away at opponents, his melee combos are a force to be reckoned with, so committing them to memory (or, of course, having his combo list to hand) is essential.
