Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has four playable characters at launch, with more coming later down the line, and each has their own unique traversal and movement abilities to aid them around the city.

This game is all about a rogue Justice League who are under the control of Brainiac that's invading Metropolis, and the Suicide Squad have been tasked with taking them down as the last hope of stopping the invasion.

As you continue to explore the city, you'll need to get to grips with the different movement abilities, which can be a bit awkward to master.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League movement abilities

Every character has different ways of getting around the map, but the controls for each of them are very similar - so we've explained each one's traversal abilities as well as the generic moves they can all do.

Generic moves

  • Evade: L3 to dodge incoming attacks
  • Slide: Press L3 whilst landing to slide, whilst also increasing your traversal cooldown
  • Bounce: Press X/A when landing on a wall or the ground to quickly bounce off it
  • Wall climbing: R1/RB when contacting a wall to run up it and press X to increase climbing speed

It's worth noting that landing on any surface will reset your traversal cooldown bar.

Harley Quinn traversal

Harley swinging in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League

Harley Quinn gets about the map using a grapple combined with a drone that she, you guessed it, grapples onto to aid her, as well as being able to grapple to ledges:

  • Grapple
    • L1/LB to grapple onto highlighted ledges
    • X/A to detach from grapple whilst moving
    • X/A when close to the edge you’re grappling towards to propel off the ledge
  • Swing: Swings can be chained together as long as the cooldown bar on the screen is not active
    • R1 / RB to swing off of the drone
    • X / A to detach from the drone whilst swinging
    • L1 / LB shortens the rope whilst swinging, increasing swing speed
  • Dive: A dive after swinging will increase how quickly the cooldown goes down making Harley ready to swing quicker
    • Press L3 to dive whilst in the air
    • Press R1 during a dive to super swing which will fling Harley even quicker

Captain Boomerang traversal

Boomerang in Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League

Boomerang is challenging to use, but once you get to grips with it, you can get some serious distance quickly thanks to his speed force abilities:

  • Speed Force: Hold R1/RB to throw a boomerang and then catch it, the longer you hold the button the further it will be thrown
  • Dash: Whilst in the air, push L1/LB to get a quick boost in the air - you can do this three times before touching the ground
  • Sprint
    • Hold X/A after using the Speed Force to maintain your speed and keep sprinting
    • Press R1 + X / RB + A when near a wall to use speed force up the wall

King Shark traversal

King Shark jumping in Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League

King Shark is the only member of the Squad that doesn’t use gadgets to get around. Instead, he uses his strength and innate abilities to propel himself around the map:

  • Apex Pounce: Hold R1/RB and then press X/A to jump a great distance forwards
  • Vertical jump: Hold L1/LB and then press X/A to propel King Shark directly up
  • Dash: Whilst in the air, hold R1/RB and then press X/A to dash forwards up to three times before touching the ground
  • Descent: Whilst falling press L1/LB to fall quickly, causing damage to enemies on impact

Deadshot traversal

Headshot flying in Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League

Deadshot uses a jetpack to dart around the map, but it doesn’t last long so you will have to touch the ground frequently to reset the cooldown:

  • Jet Pack: To use the JetPack press R1/RB until it overcharges
  • Boost: By pressing X/A whilst using the JetPack you will get a big boost
  • Hover: Pressing L2/LT whilst in the air to hover and aim
  • Kickstart: Pressing L1/LB whilst in the air will allow the JetPack to cool slightly before reactivating
  • Evades: Deadshot is the only character that can evade attacks in the air by pressing L3
